Amy Jansen—4K Teacher

Welcome to St. Luke’s Preschool! My name is Amy Jansen. This will be my 24th year of being blessed to teach at St. Luke’s.

I was raised in the Wisconsin Rapids area. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an emphasis on reading. I am happily married to Richard Jansen and we are blessed with three children and a son-in-law. I look forward to meeting you and your family and am excited to start another great year!

Kim Young — 4K Preschool Aide

Hello! My name is Mrs. Young, and I am so honored to be part of St. Luke’s Preschool as a teacher assistant in 4K. I grew up in Wisconsin Rapids and then in Stevens Point. I have been married to my husband, Patrick, for 40 years. We have 3 children, Tyler (Kelsey), Jordan (Brittany), and Justin (Stephanie). We also have 6 grandchildren, ages 2 to 13, who we absolutely love spending time with. We also enjoy camping, playing games, and traveling. I am very excited to meet you and to be able to share my love for Jesus.

Jodi Lubeck – 4K Teacher’s Assistant

Hi! My name is Jodi Lubeck.  I am excited to be back at St. Luke’s this year working with Mrs. Jansen as one of the 4K assistants.  I’ve been a member of St. Luke’s since 2005 and graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2011 with a degree in Theology.

I served as St. Luke’s Youth and Family Ministry Assistant from 2012-2014, Immanuel Lutheran’s 4K Teacher’s Assistant from 2015-2017, and St Luke’s preschool/4K director from 2019-2020.  I recently served as the Client Care Coordinator at Love INC for two years and was also blessed to be a part of the on-air staff at two local Christian radio stations – 88.5 The Family and 89Q.

My husband, Mark, and I celebrated our 30th anniversary this fall and have been blessed with six children.  Four here with us – Rachelle (Austin), Rylan (Holly), Whitley (Charlie), and Wyler (fiance’ Christi); and two home with Jesus – Lukas and Baby L.  I love traveling to Texas and Louisiana to visit our 4 grandkids – Aurora (12), Priscilla (8), Savannah (6), and Lukas (2).  I’m also very thankful for Facetime!

I enjoy spending time with my family, reading my Bible, and running.  I look forward to meeting you and sharing  of Jesus’s love with your son or daughter this year!

 Anne Alles- 3K Teacher

God’s Blessings to You! I am Anne Alles and I am so grateful to be the lead 3K teacher
at St Luke’s this year.
Although I am somewhat new to St Luke’s, I am not new to teaching preschool as
I taught for 14 years at a Lutheran Church in southeast Wisconsin while my
children were growing up. I am so happy to return to my roots and look forward
to working with your children this year.
I have been married for almost 40 years and with my husband have raised 2
wonderful children who, with their spouses, have given us 3 precious
grandchildren to love. Ryder (13), Carter (8) and Kenley (6) are truly a gift from
God and we spend as much time with them as possible.
My goal for this year is to create a loving environment for children to grow in faith.

Susan Van Asten—3K Teacher’s Aide

Hello! My name is Susan Van Asten. I’m so appreciative that I have been given the opportunity to serve as the 3K teacher assistant again this school year. I have been with St. Luke’s Preschool program since the 2022-2023 school year.

I grew up in Stevens Point and attended St. Paul Lutheran School through the 8th grade. I eventually went on to attend UWSP and graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor degree in Psychology, with an emphasis in Human Services.

I have resided in Wisconsin Rapids for many years and embrace our hometown community. I have been with my best friend Joe Connick, for a very long time. He is  a retired postal worker after serving for 34 years in the Maryland area. We enjoy boating on the Wisconsin River, kayaking around Lake Wazeecha, and playing board/card games with my family.

I have one son, Marvin, who is a computer programmer for Skyward in Stevens Point. He blessed us with a beautiful grandson, Echo Peter, in 2021. We love spending time with them whenever we can.

I’m excited for this new school year to begin and all of the positive experiences that come with it.
God’s blessing to you and your family.
